ST. MARY'S LIGHTHOUSE
I’m the first to admit I get lucky with my photography. This was one of those occasions.
I’d spent a couple of days photographing Northumberland and decided to get up early for sunrise before driving to the Lake District. An 03:30 alarm felt like madness before a long day, but I resisted the urge to stay in bed and dragged myself along the coast to Whitley Bay in time for sunrise.
The light here lasted less than 10 minutes so if I’d hit the snooze button I’d have missed it ! Lucky lad !!
